bicycle parking new belgrade
The works were created within the workshop, which was organized at the beginning of the summer in 2011 at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade in colaboration with municipality of New Belgrade. The workshop topic was a design of the parking-comb for bicycles and rest areas along the bicycle paths .The item itself represents one compact architectural unit with a geometrical form that defies its surroundings. Concerning that the item should be placed in the location with rich vegetation, it also has elements expressed in organic forms: vertical bars provided for bicycles tying simulate branches and thus indicating the symbiosis of geometry and nature. The work won the first prize.

Inspired by the Thirties of the twentieth century and the way the architects from that period presented the interior design, the author tried to elaborate and represent in the similar manner the entrance hall of the branch office of the tourist agency Jat Airways . For the purpose of evoking the period of the first half of the twentieth century, the author used materials, colours and forms characteristic for that period: glass prisms, steel pipes, round chandeliers. Red and blue colours on the wall behind the cross which is made of steel pipes and on the counter break up the possible monotony of white colour of walls and grey colour of concrete. Since this is an aero-transport agency, fans, which resemble the airplane propellers, are assembled on the ceiling

The concept of this preliminary design is simplicity. Regarding the extremely small space, the author tried to minimalize the space dynamics using white colour and reduced forms, with some details, with the accent on green colour. The frontal table boards and cupboard doors in the plaster wall are made of tin, but the impression of coldness, which this material leaves, is balanced with the warm natural wood colour (table board, benches, doors).

Blanco is based on select & extrude principle (touch screen system), where every guest can select region in the room, and create furniture (or any other form) by extruding it from the floor. By creating warm organic interior instead of cold geometric one, guest can interact with his own designed space (surrounding), and satisfy his needs and urges. This way, he can create his own furniture and adjuct its place, shape, size, ergonomy… In case of creativity lack, each user can find preset (template) and easily apply it into space. In technical aspect, Blanco system room is consisted of two main components: vertical telescopic hydraulic cylinders and straching waterproof top layer - Spandex.
